About Us

  • CHRISTIAN BERGMAN

    CEO | FOUNDER

Christian Bergman is a former professional baseball player turned real estate investor and entrepreneur. He graduated with a B.A. in Social Ecology from UC Irvine in 2010, where he also excelled as a baseball player. After college, he went on to play 10 seasons in the Major Leagues and Minor Leagues for the Rockies and Mariners.

During his baseball career, Christian developed a keen interest in real estate investing, and since 2015, he has been actively involved in real estate investment while still playing professionally. In 2020, he founded his own real estate investment company, Mulligan Valley Capital, with a focus on multifamily assets. Currently, Mulligan Valley Capital owns and operates 85 units in Phoenix, Arizona.

Christian will also be launching the Mulligan Valley Fund in May 2023. The fund will offer investors the opportunity to lend on short-term rehab and construction projects, providing an avenue for passive investment in real estate with attractive returns.

Leaning on his combined experience in baseball and real estate, Christian also helps other former baseball players transition to life after baseball through his online community The Clubhouse.

  • GEOFF YAZZETTA

COO | ASSET & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Geoff moved from California to Arizona to join Mulligan Valley Capital in 2021 after spending a decade working in politics and coaching at a CrossFit gym. In both of these positions he met countless successful individuals that were involved in real estate in some capacity. He knew that he had to get into the game but did not know how until Christian, a close friend of twenty years, opened up that door by forming Mulligan Valley Capital. Geoff is a community builder at heart and is excited to bring his skillset to the Mulligan Valley Capital team to further its mission of educating people about the positive financial impacts of investing in multifamily apartment deals. In his spare time Geoff enjoys astronomy, CrossFit and spending long weekends in Joshua Tree.

  • JAKE YOGEL

DIRECTOR OF CAPITAL MARKETS & ACQUISITIONS

Jake made the decision to relocate to Arizona in 2015 in order to advance his baseball career. After years of training and traveling across the country, he successfully achieved his objective of reaching the professional level.

During his career, he developed a deep interest in entrepreneurship and investing, which prompted him to get into real estate while still actively playing. Initially, Jake focused on single-family homes and land development throughout the state of Arizona. However, after meeting Christian through a mutual connection in the real estate community, they quickly realized they shared a common goal of helping the baseball community and other individuals learn about and participate in the power of real estate investing.

As the Acquisitions Manager of MVC, Jake leverages his market expertise to seek out investment opportunities that generate excellent risk-adjusted returns and value for investors. He also cultivates strong relationships with key stakeholders in the multifamily industry. In addition to managing new opportunities, Jake helps bolster MVC's capital sourcing and strategic partnership initiatives.

Outside of real estate, Jake enjoys playing in his church softball league, staying up to date on current events, and trying new restaurants around Phoenix with his wife, Channing.
